"Appreciating
Growth" My
artwork has always had an intimate quality, often
speaking in the voice of "the child within." Very
often the images have been quiet coaxings to that
child, an invitation to come out and
play! As a
mother my artwork has grown in vision and in
purpose to celebrate the magical spirits of very
real children as well. I love that these images
speak of the beautiful believing of a child, with
respect for the depth of their heart-felt insights
and with delight in their limitless
imaginations.
I
feel so honored when these images are shared with a
child, as images that reflect back their beauty.
The images become mirrors of their radiant spirits
and windows for their own imaginations to explore.
These are images that are in every sense affirming:
of growth, of a quiet connectedness with all living
things, and of a world of possibilities available
to fulfill their dreams. They are images to grow
into rather than out of. They are purposeful images
that become more and more meaningful. Artwork can
be a powerful presence in our lives, acting as mile
markers of our most precious
experiences. There
is so much to be celebrated!
