My family and I have a wonderful and unique lifestyle that includes participating in art fairs across the country. It has given us the opportunity to meet the very people, you, who "Share our Vision". We share an awareness of our exciting potential as thinking, feeling, expressive human beings. We, patron and artist, are the ones who dare to dream and then (even more daring!) act upon those dreams. It may sound like a lot to expect from a day in the park. Not so! It happens quite easily. It's simply an energy that naturally occurs when people gather together to explore and celebrate their creative selves. It's beautiful to behold. |

The booths are set up in the early morning hours at the fair site. There's an excitement, a festive atmosphere of expectation. I love that I get to set up my booth next to another artist who, like me, has been somehow inspired to spend every waking hour putting together an idea. We have seen the most amazing things created, things I could never have made myself. I am so glad to know that someone else could, did, and was then willing to come to a show in the hopes that someone else might see things as they have. I think everyone who ventures from their studio with their creations deserves a lot of credit. It's no small thing to see a dream through. |

Finally the public arrives and the real magic begins. I have such respect and appreciation for those of you who attend our art fairs. You leave comfortable homes to drive and park and then walk through our "galleries"...in heat waves, rain storms, elbow to elbow crowds. You also join us in parks on some of the most gloriously beautiful days of the season, when the day itself is a work of art! Your willingness to have an experience at our shows is much to your credit. Thank you. Thank your for your curiosity and for your enthusiasm. Thank you for making such a difference in our lives. |
